Retriever is a hunting dog. The main traits of Curly are steadiness, devotion, meaningfulness of each step. The main feature of this breed is a finely curled hair. Chest is deep. Muscular and strong limbs have rather short spin square format which gives the dog a solid appearance. Height is 63-69 cm, weight is about 32-36 kg. Head is elongated, well proportioned. The eyes are large but not bulging, brown or black. Nose is black in black dogs, with wide nostrils. It is covered with curly hair of the black or dark brown color, maybe look rodent sheriff.

These dogs have been known since the early 19th century. In England from the Canadian island of Newfoundland medium-sized dogs were brought, they were kept on ships of fishmongers. Some landowners found them to be interesting and decided to breed new species. And they began to breed Newfoundlands with Irish spaniels, and possibly with setters, poodles and lablador dogs. And in 1860, these retrievers were demonstrated at the exhibition. In Victorian England, they were bred as pet dogs, and then they began to participate in hunting.
